Beneker Family Farms Rural Small Business for 2022

By Cassie Garrett-

Beneker Family Farms is a family-owned and operated farm offering Angus Beef raised right here in the Whitewater Valley, and is one of nine small Indiana businesses recognized by Governor Eric Holcomb as a part of Small Business Week in Indiana.

The family farm has been feeding Americans for over a hundred years. That tradition was threatened in 2020 when COVID-19 struck and hugely impacted small businesses.

Like other small businesses across the state, the Benekers were forced to think outside the box to continue the family legacy. Jamie refused to let the hurdle stop the Beneker family farm from doing what it does best, providing quality beef to the community, and began offering quality beef delivery from their farm to their customers’ tables when they needed it the most. Allen Beneker is Jamie's husband and attributes the expansion of the farm to her.

The innovative concept has been successful and continues to evolve as Beneker family farms now offer Beef Subscription boxes that include a variety of beef cuts and provide recipes and meal planning along with locally sourced spices to save time and inspire new meal ideas.

The Benekers take pride in their farm family values and are a shining example of Indiana agriculture. With the support of family, friends, and the community, they continue to do what they love most, raising their family on the farm, serving their community, and leaving the Beneker Family Farm better for the next generation.
