Kenneth A Marker, age 91, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday April 30. Born on March 24, 1931, in Richmond, he was one of five children of Leonard and Lillian Bryan Marker.
On June 14, 1952, in Richmond, he married Mary V. Pastztor. They shared 63 years together and were blessed with five children before her passing in 2016.
Kenny farmed in the Liberty area for 50 years before retiring. Kenny and his two sons owned and operated the Marker AG Lime spreading business for 25 years. Kenny and Mary took great pride in their homestead as well as their children and their families. Kenny enjoyed working in his workshop repairing and creating unlimited projects.
He is survived by his children; daughters, Susan (Ben) Sandlin of Indianapolis, Kathy McCellan of Oxford, Ohio, and Jenny (Rusty) Ritz of Millville, Ohio; sons, Duane (Linda) Marker and Allen Marker all of Liberty; a sister, Donna Branson of Richmond; fifteen grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved springer spaniel, Maggie
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Kenney, Phyllis Lackey and Janice Bailey.
Friends and family gathered at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main Street, Liberty, on Wednesday May 4, from 4: to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday May 5, at 11:00 am with Pastor Rob Judd officiating. Burial will follow at Elkhorn Cemetery.
