It was a packed party room at Liberty Pizza King this week when Chloe Greene made it official that she will continue her education and softball careers at Radford University, Radford, Virginia.

Greene, a standout fast pitch softball pitcher, was joined by her parents, Greg and Monica Greene, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins as well as past coaches, school friends, and Union County well wishers.

The signing on National Signing Day officially made Greene a Radford Highlander, which excites her.

“I decided on Radford after making a campus visit and  liked the team members and coaches,” she said. “I am very, very excited about it.”

She is also excited about accomplishing a goal –  playing softball at the college level. Her dream will be complete when the Highlanders’ softball team opens the spring schedule.

Now that Greene has made it official, she will continue her education in the field of psychology.

“I want to work with young teenagers,” she said.
