Union County High School’s fall student athletes were honored last week at the annual Fall Athletic Awards Night.

Cheerleading, girls cross country, boys cross country, girls golf, football, girls soccer, boys soccer, and volleyball coaches introduced players and shared highlights of their seasons prior to individual team meetings held throughout the school.

Athletic director Ryan Overholt issued certificates to 38 Tri-Eastern All-Academic Team students, 28 UC Scholar Athletes AND 23 Student/Athletes who completed four years in their chosen sport. Team meetings were held throughout the building where individual awards were announced.

Cheer leading: Jill Butterfield Spirit Award-Lexy Brashears. Most  Determined Award-Lyllian Pentecost. Mental Attitude Award-Maura Pegg. Goofiest Cheerleader Award-Hallie Moster.

Boys Cross Country: Most Improved Award-Landon Klingman. Mental Attitude Award-Jack Hodgkin.

Girls Cross Country: All Heart Award-Haley Alcorn. Most Valuable Runner-Johanna Nelson. Most Personal Records Award-Johanna Nelson.

Football: Wade Hart Lineman of the Year Award-Michael Eversole. Rising Star Award-Topher Fritts. MVP Non-Lineman-Evan Wolf. Most Valuable Lineman-Marek Whitsell. MVP Lineman-Ryland Schulte. 

Girls’ Golf: Most Birdies and Most Pars-Peityn Gillman. Mental Attitude Award-Hannah Coffman. Most Improved Player-Madysson McClure. Most Valuable Player-Emma Kassens.

Boys Soccer: Mental Attitude Award-Devan Hill. Most Improved Player-Nathaniel Tolford. a. Most Valuable Defensive Player-Rhett Hollen. Most Valuable Offensive Player-Logan Harris.

Girls Soccer: Outstanding Defensive Player-Keilynn Jones. Outstanding Offensive Player-Heaven Fritts. Mental Attitude Award-Kyleigh Payne. Most Valuable Player-Brooklyn Vauthier. Most Improved Player-Julianna Goecke.

Boys Tennis: Mental Valuable Player-Logan Boone. Mental Attitude-Jacoby Petry. Spirit Award-James Gill. Most Improved Player-Grant Cox.

Volleyball: Mental Attitude Award-Carly McCashland. Defensive Player of the Year-Brooke Fields. Offensive Player of the Year-Elyse Peters. Most Effective Server-Shelby Hill.
