The Union County Lady Patriots held the Franklin County Lady Wildcats to their second-lowest score of the season (30 points) last Friday night at Roy E. Stevens Gymnasium. The Wildcats’ lowest score was a 57-26 loss to East Central two weeks ago.

The Wildcats held an 11-7 first quarter lead, 20-13 at halftime but came up scoreless in the low-scoring third quarter. Both teams scored their best (7 and 10) in the final eight minutes to give Franklin County a 30-25 win.

Don’t overlook Union County. They thrive on fundamentals, steals and rebounds.

Franklin County sophomore Tiffany Billman led all scoring with 15 points, including three treys, and had 5 rebounds.

Senior Shelby Hill paced Union County with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
