Lady Patriots top Lady Twisters, 59-55

Union County went on the road to Oldenburg Academy last week and came home with a 59-55 victory.
The Lady Pats’ 16-11 first quarter lead was only the beginning at Oldenburg. UC poured in 16 points in the second quarter, 16 points in the third before slowing down with 11 in the final quarter.
Three Lady Patriots finished in double figures. Katie McCashland had 10 points, Shelby Hill 14, and the overall scoring leader Brooke Fields checked in with a 15-point performance. She also had 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
“It was a good win,” UC coach Scott Gray said. “Oldenburg is a good team. But we played really well.”
Lady Patriots play three on the road
The Lady Patriots are at Shenandoah, Saturday, Dec. 3, at Hagerstown Wednesday, Dec. 7. returning home to host South Decatur Saturday, Dec. 10.
