Lady Patriots’ 189 best of 3-way meet at Highland

Union County’s Peityn Gillman shot a one-over-par 37 at Highland Lake Golf Course last week to earn medalist honors in a 3-way meet with Centerville and Hagerstown.
The Tri-Eastern Conference 3-way match found the Lady Patriots’ 189 seven strokes better than Centerville’s 196 and Hagerstown in a hole with 233. The dual wins lift Union County to 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the Tri-Eastern Conference.
Alex Goodwin led the Lady Bulldogs with 41 and Havanna Harris led Hagerstown with 50.

Union County plays another 3-way TEC match on Thursday, Sept. 8 with Northeastern and Knightstown.
The Tri-Eastern Conference tournament is Saturday, Sept. 10, at Northeastern and the IHSAA girls golf sectional is Monday, Sept. 19, at Liberty Country Club.
