Greencastle Lady Tiger Cubs win IHSAA Girls Regional

The Greencastle Lady Tiger Cubs are the 2023 IHSAA Regional Champions.
Senior guard Gloria Brewer put her leadership skills to work in the 58-38 defeat of Union County at Southmont High School last Saturday.
Greencastle took the opening tip-off and never looked back but the Lady Patriots refused to bow out and cut the deficit to 9, points down (43-34) in the fourth quarter. But the Tiger Cubs came back with a 9-0 run as the clock ran down.
Both teams spread the offense and defense among the top six players.
Senior Shelby Hill lead Union County with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore Katie McCashland finished with 10 points.
