The Union County Patriots’ Spring Athletic Awards Program heard from coaches of spring athletic teams and recognized the student/athletes who make Union County spring sports interesting.

Track and field coaches, Phil Cox and Sammie Elleman, began by introducing players and made note of team accomplishments and regional qualifiers Katie McCashland and Libby Page.  

UCHS baseball coach Jordan Ashbrook, boys golf Andrew McCashland, girls tennis coach, Dillon Miler, and softball coach Jeff Franklin, also came to the microphone to share the past season with everyone. After, were Mr. Overholt’s welcome and recognition of those who earned UC Scholar Athlete certificates and the UC members named to the TEC Academic All-Conference team.    

Individual team meetings were held where coaches announced the special award winners in each sport.
