Lincoln falls to UCHS, UCMS does best at Elks CC

The Union County Patriots lost one and won one last week. The Patriots defeated Lincoln, 193-221, but lost to Winchester,175-189.
Carson Whitley led UC in the Lincoln match and was also named medalist. Lincoln’s best score was 49. Gage Tipton 46, Rhett Hollen 53, Kameryn Reuss 49, Landon Strait 57.
UC JV scores versus Lincoln: Tim Lawson 55, Keegan Lathery 53, Peyton Torres 57, Thatcher Coffman 60,Grant Cox 64, Nathaniel Tolford 63, Teratin Goecke 61.
The Falcons edged UC 175-189 and Gunnar Ludwick shot 40 to edge out UC’s 41 by Tipton. Hollen finished with 48, Whitley 49, Reuss 55 and Strait 48.
Uc’s JV scores versus Winchester: Lawson 55, Lathery 54, Torres 63, Coffman 53, Cox 59, Aaron Herring 59, Tolford 63, Goecke 65.
In a competitive triangular match Monday at LCC, the Union County boys pulled off a victory with a score of 181. This was better than Wes-Del's 185 and Knightstown's 189. Peyton Inman was low for K-town at 45.
Middle School Pats do best against Richmond
The UC middle school golf team traveled to face the Richmond Red Devils at the Elks Country Club last week.
“Although the team shot the lowest score of the season, they fell just short of Richmond, 188-186,” coach Nathan Beck said.
Medalist was UC’s Lane Crumley’s 41. Jackson McCashland 45,Melanie Goecke 52, Brody Lackey 51, Brooklyn Beck 51, Hazel Henke 53, Randi Harvey 65, Elly Frazier 69. Good Job!
The UC middle school golf team hosted Northeastern this week at Liberty Country Club for a great evening of golf.
“The course was a touch on the damp side from the rain over the weekend. UC was victorious firing a 198, Northeastern 214,” coach Beck said. “Lane Crumley was the medalist for the match with a 41.”

Crumley - 41, McCashland - 50, Aubrey Beck - 52, Rhett Logue - 55, Lackey - 56, Beck - 55, Goecke - 58, Henke, - 55.
