Dorine M. Canada, age 79, of Brookville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her residence in Brookville.

Born June 16, 1944 in Cedar Grove, she was one of five children born to the late Carl and Emma (Knecht) Oehlman.  On June 19, 1969 she was united in marriage to Ronald E. Canada and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2017. 

Survivors include three daughters, Carla Hall of Lawrenceburg, Rhonda Ruble of Rushville and Brenda (Joel) Quinlan of Brookville; a son, Brian (Christine) Canada of Boston, Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren with another on the way; three brothers, Clifford Oehlman, Kenny Oehlman, Larry Oehlman; as well as her beloved dog Zeke.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ronald, she was preceded in death by a brother Walter Oehlman.

Family and friends visited Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Pastor Kevin Waltz of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiated the memorial service at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will take place in Big Cedar Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
