It was a solid week for coach Doug Deters' Wildcat wrestlers, as FC gained its first win of the season Dec. 8 at Northeastern and followed that up with a 4-1 showing at Richmond's Tom Hill Invitational Saturday.

The Cats (5-2) were 54-24 winners over the Knights mid-week, then defeated the host Red Devils 59-12, the Union County Patriots 54-30, the Monroe Central Golden Bears 48-36 and Decatur Central Hawks 39-36. The week's lone loss came to Indianapolis-area power Warren Central (48-30).

Tuesday night, FC traveled to conference foe Batesville; results weren't available at press time. The Wildcat Invitational is Saturday with action starting 9 a.m. The Connersville Spartan Classic is Dec. 28-29.
