IHSAA boys and girls track results

The Union County girls track team advanced a 100m hurdler and two relay teams out of the IHSAA Track Sectional at Connersville on May18.

Freshman Kaleah Louden ran the 100m hurdles in 17.72 in the preliminaries and came back to cut more than a second off her time to win the hurdle race in 16.57 in the finals.

Louden was also a member the of 400m relay team which finished third to advance to regional. Emma Cox, Louden, Sarah Myers and Kalin Baumbauer ran the relay in 53.52 behind Richmond and Connersville.

The Lady Patriots’ 1600m relay team also advanced with a second place finish. Distance runners Rachel Grissom, Vanessa West, Genny Antrim and Priscilla Kelley were clocked at 10:41.
