Union County High School’s fall student athletes were honored last week at the annual Fall Athletic Awards Night.

Cheerleading, girls cross country, boys cross country, girls golf, football, girls soccer, boys soccer, and volleyball coaches introduced players and shared highlights of their seasons prior to individual team meetings held throughout the school.

Athletic director Ryan Overholt issued certificates to 31 Tri-Eastern All-Academic Team students and 35 UC Scholar Athletes. Team meetings were held throughout the building where individual awards were announced.

2021 Fall Athletic Awards

Cheer leading: Jill Butterfield Spirit Award-Kaleah Louden, Most Versatile Cheerleader-Lexy Brashears, Mental Attitude Award-Maura Pegg, Positive Attitude Award-Kendra Peters.

Boys Cross Country: Rookie of the Year Award-Logan Boone. Mental Attitude Award-Jack Hodgkin.

Girls Cross Country: All Heart Award-Johannah Nelson. Most Valuable Runner-Marissa Young.

Football: Wade Hart Lineman of the Year Award-Ben Tom. Mental Attitude Award-Reece Watterson. Rising Star Award-Evan Wolf. Most Valuable Player-Ragen Bias.

Girls’ Golf: Most Birdies (9), Most Pars (88)-Emma Kassens. Mental Attitude Award-Morgan Ball. Most Improved Player-Peityn Gillman.

Boys Soccer: Mental Attitude Award-Dylan Martz. Most Improved Player-Landon Stubeda. Most Valuable Defensive Player-Michael Schroth. Most Valuable Offensive Player-Logan Harris.

Girls Soccer: Outstanding Defensive Player-Brooklyn Vauthier. Outstanding Offensive Player-Kyleigh Payne. Mental Attitude Award-Lilly Witter. Most Valuable Player-Sophia Knock. Most Improved Player-Emma Cox.

Volleyball: Mental Attitude Award-Hannah Wulf. Defensive Player of the Year-Brooke Fields. Offensive Player of the Year-Faith Richardson.
