Lady Patriots Golf– Look out, UC on way to regionals

The Lady Red Devils outplayed Franklin County 340-358 with Union County closing in at 368.
A pair of Lady Patriots were also among the top three sectional Medalists. Emma Kassens (79) was the first-place medalist and Peityn Gillman (82) occupied the third place. Richmond’s Esther Etherington’s 80 fit in between UC’s top two.
Kassens’ first place finish contained nine pars, one birdie and eight bogeys. Gillman had seven pars, two birdies, six bogeys and three double bogeys.
Northeastern’s 384 was the fourth-place score, Centerville (398) was fifth, then Connersville 426, Hagerstown 428, and Lincoln 450.
Advancing individuals, Baylee Wissler (91) of Northeastern, Alexandra Goodwin (85) of Centerville and Lincoln’s Allison Frost (91) will join the Lady Red Devils, Lady Wildcats and Lady Patriots this weekend on the regional course.
The IHSAA girls golf regional is Saturday, Sept. 25 at Edge Golf Course, Anderson.
