Union County High School has a new girls tennis coach this season.

Meet Dillon Miller, a 2016 UCHS graduate and three-sport athlete in tennis, basketball and golf. Miller is enjoying his return to Union County as a coach.

Following graduation, Miller continued his education with a five-year apprenticeship at IBEW and emerged as a Journeyman Electrician. He is presently employed in electrical maintenance at Earlham College in Richmond.

All ten team members were in attendance at the second match of the season and he noticed some improvement and is ready to build on it.

UC girls tennis did not field a team in 2020. Then in 2021, UC graduate/athlete Allison Kassens stepped in to get the program back on track.

So this season is a rebuilding season and Coach Miller and all team members are anxious to see what they can do to get it back on track.

The match scheduled on Monday, April 18 was canceled and rescheduled for the next day, Tuesday, April 19. UC is at Tri High on April 20 and hosts Winchester April 21.
