The Lady Wildcats took on East Central on the diamond April 18. The conference matchup was a low-scoring game between the two high-powered offenses. Coming into the game, the Lady Cats were averaging 11.4 runs per game through their first seven contests. Payge Callahan of the Trojans produced a walkoff 2-run homer off previously unbeaten Michaela Ferman for a 3-1 EC victory.
Anne Becker drove in Kensee Ferman in the FC second to make it 1-0. M. Ferman continued to deal in the circle, holding EC scoreless through the first four innings on the turf. Starting pitcher Lexi Hatmaker helped herself out with a run-batted in in the fifth to tie the game.
