Union County girls tennis team continue on its mission to improve themselves with each match.

“These girls have been working really hard the past couple of days and I have been pushing them to their limits,” UC coach Dillon Miller said. “They have stepped up and accepted the challenges I’ve given them. Every day the girls show up they give me 110% and work hard and have fun. That is all I can ask of them.”

The results show their progress and achievements.

“ We have been hitting a lot of tennis balls to make sure we have the proper tennis swings and that we can play with the best of the best,” Miller continued. “I honestly could not be more happy with how hard this group of girls are working and the amount of improvement they have shown in this last week is unbelievable.”

During the past week, UC took on Hagerstown, Lincoln and East Central with good results.

“We faced a very good East Central team tonight and the girls proved that we have been working and played point for point with East Central. I kept making the comment to Adam Kibbey (assistant coach) that I did not recognize this Union County team tonight because they made that much improvement in just a few days! Again I cannot say it enough how proud I am of these girls and that I cannot wait for what the future brings for these girls over the next few years!”
