Union County went to Knightstown this past Monday and did a repeat performance of a previous game with Lincoln. UC defeated the Eagles, 8-7, in a dramatic bottom of the seventh inning five days ago. Knightstown fell this week, 5-4, in a near repeat seventh-inning performance.

The Pats scored three runs in the first inning and another in the second.

Knightstown caught up with a run in the second and three in the third inning to tie the game at 4.

Scoring fell off through the following three innings that left a 4-4 score to start the seventh inning.

John Ridenour opened with a single and worked his way (stolen base) around to third. Then with two outs and a Mason Stewart single, Ridenour scored to put the Patriots up, 5-4.

The Patriots put the Panthers down, one, two, three in the bottom of the seventh to give the Patriots a 5-4 win, a 9-7 season record and 2-3 mark in the Tri Eastern Conference.

Knightstown is now 4-10-1 on the season and 1-4-1 in the TEC.
