Franklin County baseball put together a pair of complete efforts in closing the 2022 regular season. Thursday, the Cats downed conference rival Rushville 10-1 and followed with a 23-3 pounding of Cambridge City Lincoln Friday.

An 8-run fourth did in the Lions Thursday. Trevor Moizuk and Chase Burton each drove in 3 runs and Kristian Prows added 2 RBI. Xander Rodriguez and Adam Daugherty each knocked in 1. Rodriguez and Burton (double) had 2 hits apiece. Brant Ertel added a double. Moizuk went the distance with no earned runs allowed and 6 strikeouts.

The hit parade continued the next day as FC totaled 19 safeties and 20 RBI. Prows (double) and Ertel (double) chased home 3 each as Daugherty, Avery Harrison, Rodriguez, JD Stokes, Austin Short (double, triple) and Ben Becker (double) had 2 each. Moizuk (double) and Burton had 1 RBI each. Daugherty struck out 5 for the win and Short also took the bump.

FC takes on host Rushville Thursday in sectional action. First pitch is 5:30 p.m.
